The use of assessment is vital for counselors for the diagnosis and treatment of clients. However, with the cost of assessments, many counselors are reluctant to use them. In this presentation, the presenter will provide detailed descriptions of ten assessment instruments that are readily available to counselors at no cost. The presentation will provide a descriptive review including the validity and reliability, the process to administer, score, and interpret the instrument, effectiveness with diversity, and other valuable psychometrics of assessment instruments. The presentation will provide a discussion of instruments with vast use in the mental health field. All attendees will obtain a copy of the presentation.
